Trusted home care

Care is a relationship, not a transaction. Every visit is a chance to listen, notice, and bring comfort. As part of Southern Hospice Group, every penny of our profit helps fund local hospice care, so we can support not only you, but someone else’s family too.

Notice the small things

Paying attention to the details isn't extra, it's what compassionate care relies on.

I joined Nestwell Care in 2017  (then Martlets Care) after 29 years as a primary school teacher. I am now a senior care professional. My duties vary and may include providing personal care, shopping, preparing meals, assisting with medication and exercises and providing companionship.

Although I work independently, I am always part of a wider team with my fellow care professionals, Martlets palliative care team and the clients and their families.

As a Nestwell Care professional, I feel valued and appreciated within the community. I know that the job I do makes a difference to peoples well being and the quality of both theirs and their families lives – and that does me good too!

Jo

Senior Care Assistant

I’m a proud Nestwell Home Care (formerly Martlets Care) carer, the best part of my role is the satisfaction of helping people, and giving something back as they looked after my beloved brother in the past.

We all give 100% to our clients – they are given person centred care as we believe everyone is their own person and not just a number or a name. I love the empathy from the Nestwell Home Care team, including the resources provided to both carers and clients.

Sarah

Care Assistant

I’ve only been in the care industry for 18 months, after deciding I wanted a career change. To say I love my job with Nestwell Home Care (formerly Martlets Care) is an understatement, the people I meet and the gratitude they show make it so worth while. The job entails so many different things from making people comfortable in the palliative side to giving people more independence by helping them do their weekly food shop. Each client has different needs and different care plans, which makes my job variable every day.

Stacey

Care Assistant

I have always worked in Recruitment, but after leaving that to look after my children, and then looking after my Nan for a few years, I realised caring for others was something I could do.

Working for Nestwell Home Care (formerly Martlets Care) is very rewarding, knowing that I make a difference to someone’s day however small, is heartwarming.

-Nestwell have a great team of people in all areas, they all have the same ethos for person centred care. We are well supported, and all take care of each other, as well as our clients. Also, knowing that all profits are going back into the Hospice is a huge bonus too.

Julie

Care Assistant

As a Nestwell Home Care Professional (formerly Martlets Care), I head home each day feeling tired. But, with a strong sense of satisfaction that my work has made a difference. How many jobs give you that feeling?
