“Nestwell Home Care (formerly Martlets Care) professionals provide a great quality service of care to those who need assistance from their own home. I could not wish for better care to be provided to me and it has promoted my independence to continue to be able to live at home.”

Client

“My Care Professionals from Nestwell Home Care (formerly Martlets Care) are amazing. I look forward to them coming as they help you with housework due to not being able to walk as far anymore. They help with lots of jobs I would no longer be able to do if it wasn’t for their assistance, which is a big relief to my worries.”

Client

What I love about my job is the people you get to meet and the conversations you have. The difference you’re making to someone’s day….. it is priceless

Sophie

Care Assistant

“The care I have been provided by Nestwell Home Care (formerly Martlets Care) has been excellent. It gives me something to look forward to each day and I enjoy spending time with the superb Care Professionals. Having carers assisting me at home has improved my quality of life and enabled me to remain independent at home for as long as possible. It also gives me the company I miss greatly from my late Husband.”

Client

I have always worked in Recruitment, but after leaving that to look after my children, and then looking after my Nan for a few years, I realised caring for others was something I could do.

Working for Nestwell Home Care (formerly Martlets Care) is very rewarding, knowing that I make a difference to someone’s day however small, is heartwarming.

-Nestwell have a great team of people in all areas, they all have the same ethos for person centred care. We are well supported, and all take care of each other, as well as our clients. Also, knowing that all profits are going back into the Hospice is a huge bonus too.

Julie

Care Assistant

“My care professionals always assess my needs carefully and are never invasive. They always ask my permission and suggest ideas to help me. Due to my poor eyesight, I need help with admin tasks and reading letters. They help me input alerts into my Alexa so I know who is visiting me and when. I would not otherwise be able to do this so I am very grateful to have Nestwell Home Care (formerly Martlets Care).”

You can reach us through our contact form, by email or by phone. Just choose whatever feels most comfortable for you.

A member of our team will get in touch to understand what support you’re looking for. We’ll listen, answer your questions and begin shaping a care plan that’s fully tailored around you.

Yes. We can support you with trips outside your home, whether that’s a GP appointment, a visit to the shops or simply going out for a coffee.

We can administer prescribed medication with approval and follow clear, tailored charts to make sure nothing is ever missed. Our carers double-check that each dose is taken correctly, at the right time and in the right way.

We can help prepare medication if packets are hard to read or open, and offer gentle reminders when needed. We administer tablets, liquids, creams and patches, but not injections, as these must be carried out by a nurse.

We take full responsibility for medication only when no other party is involved, to keep things safe and consistent.

No. Our care is available to anyone who needs support with daily living at home. You don’t need a particular diagnosis or specialist condition to join us.

Yes. We’re part of Southern Hospice Group, which includes Martlets, St Barnabas House and Chestnut Tree House. As a social enterprise, all our profits are reinvested into supporting local people with life limiting conditions. We’re based at Martlets Hospice and proud to be part of the wider Southern Hospice Group.

We don’t provide short-term cover for things like holidays or one-off appointments. Our focus is on personalised, ongoing care plans. If you have a specific situation, let us know and we’ll see what we can do on a case-by-case basis.

Yes. We have a clear fee structure for private clients, but some people are funded through the NHS Continuing Health Care package.

Yes. We’re based in the same building and work closely with the hospice team. When we share a client, we stay in regular contact about care needs, diagnoses and medication to make sure that support is coordinated and truly right for them.
